Definition: Interdisciplinary refers to working with two or more content areas at the same time. For example, if an English teacher and a Social Studies teacher work together to create a learning experience for students, then it is interdisciplinary. If we want students to be able to transfer skills and apply learning more readily, providing interdisciplinary learning opportunities allows them to practice skills and apply concepts to different content at the same time.
