Transfer Skills

Definition: These are the skills that apply through and across a variety of different disciplines, such as critical thinking or constructing arguments. Transfer skills, when mastered, enable a student to take what they learn in one context and apply it to another without prompting, such as successfully balancing equations in chemistry using principles learned in mathematics class, without having to ‘relearn’ equation concepts in the chemistry classroom.
