Insufficient Evidence

Definition: This refers to when there isn’t enough data to assess a particular standard or skill. Sometimes it is because a student has been absent when a standard has been taught or assessed. Other times it can be because the student hasn’t submitted enough work samples to be able to assess accurately. Lack of evidence of understanding is not evidence of lack of understanding. An insufficient evidence determination should not adversely affect a student’s overall grade.
